Owners and Founders of Wild Ones Avian Rescue, Inc.

Wild Ones Avian Rescue, Inc. was created from a simple belief: birds are family, and every bird deserves the opportunity to live a safe, healthy, and happy life.

What started with a love for parrots and a desire to help birds in need grew into something much bigger. As more birds found their way to us, we saw firsthand how many companion parrots were being surrendered, neglected, misunderstood, or simply had nowhere else to go.

That is where Wild Ones began.

We are a nonprofit avian rescue dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming companion parrots and other exotic avian species. From tiny conures to enormous macaws, every bird that comes through our doors is treated as an individual with their own personality, history, needs, and story.

How We Started

Wild Ones Avian Rescue began with two people wanting to make a difference for birds that needed a safe place to land.

As the number of birds needing help continued to grow, so did the vision for Wild Ones. What began as a passion for helping individual birds evolved into a mission to provide more than just a temporary home. We wanted to create a place where birds could receive proper care, rehabilitation, enrichment, socialization, and the time they needed to heal.

Today, Wild Ones operates as a closed, in home rescue. Our home has become a place where birds can decompress, receive individualized care, and begin their journey toward whatever comes next.

Some birds come to us ready for their next family. Others need weeks, months, or even longer to recover and learn to trust again. Some become permanent residents because their needs require a lifelong home.

We believe there is no expiration date on a second chance.

More Than Rescue

Our work does not stop when a bird leaves a bad situation.

We provide nutritious diets, veterinary care, enrichment, safe housing, rehabilitation, socialization, and lots of patience. We also work to educate current and future bird owners about the commitment that comes with sharing your life with an exotic bird.

Our goal is not simply to find birds a new home.

Our goal is to find them the right home.

We believe adoption should be about finding the right match between a bird and a family, not simply filling an empty cage.
